Svetlana Holt
Chapter 12 in Business Administration Education, 2012, pp 217-231 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Born between 1977 and 1998, the 75 million strong Millennial generation is entering the workforce at full speed. They were raised during the most child-centric time of the American history and therefore thrive on personal attention and believe in their unique abilities. They are team oriented; they assume technology and the Internet and multitask fast. Inspiring, leading, and motivating them, tapping into their hyperconnectivity and their creative potential to shape the future, is a challenge we have to embrace. This chapter explores the values and communication styles of Generation Y and discusses the opportunities lying within revealing and nurturing their leadership potential through multimedia and social entrepreneurship.
