Belief
Alphonso Lingis
Chapter 2 in Belief and Organization, 2012, pp 14-30 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Today we tend to think of belief as an act of an individual mind, committing itself to statements that result from its own investigations or to the statements of others, members of a religious community or a scientific discipline. Michel de Certeau, philosopher, psychoanalyst and Jesuit priest, instead looks for belief first in our practical relations with others.
