Abstract: Abstract Transnational education (TNE) or cross-border education is characterized by the mobility of higher education students, programmes, providers and resources across national jurisdictions or borders and represents an area of tremendous potential for higher education institutions and, therefore, one that warrants careful scrutiny. As Chapter 6 demonstrated, Malaysia is one of the leading hosts for TNE and an early innovator in this component of internationalization.
