Journeys to work
Adrian Furnham
A chapter in The Engaging Manager, 2012, pp 105-107 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Most people have specified “working hours”. Even with those fuzzy concepts such as flexitime, working from home, and “on-call”, the generally accepted belief is that there are times when people should be, or are contractually required to be, “at their post”. The doctor to see patients; the teacher to instruct students; the bus driver to do the rounds.
