Epilogue

Hari Bapuji

A chapter in Not Just China, 2011, pp 147-155 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract As someone who spends a lot of time researching recalls, I follow nearly every recall that is issued and safety problem that is reported. Beginning in late 2009, I began to notice that a number of safety problems were being reported that related specifically to Toyota vehicles and, specifically, to frame corrosion and unintended acceleration. The issue of unintended acceleration particularly caught my attention because the information reported in the media was sketchy, not to mention the serious danger the problem itself poses. Also, unintended acceleration has dogged many makes of models and cars over the years.
