Phases of Gold Price Suppression

Chapter Chapter 22 in The Gold Cartel, 2013, pp 116-121 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract We can divide the systematic gold market interventions of modern times into three clearly discernible phases: the limiting phase from mid-1993, the lowering phase from 1996 onward and the retreat phase from mid-2001 (Figure 22.1). There are hints of a new phase, of a forthcoming end to the systematic interventions. We now want to give an overview of the individual phases (specific details will be discussed still later).
