Abstract: Abstract Shaanxi is a province of the PRC. It includes a portion of the Loess Plateau on the middle reaches of the Yellow River in addition to the Qinling Mountains across the southern part of the region. It borders Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to the north, Shanxi Province to the northeast, Henan Province to the east, Hubei Province to the southeast, Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality to the south and Gansu Province to the west.
