Abstract:
Abstract The Würth Group has an advisory board which holds competences similar to that of a board of directors. Bettina Würth, chairwoman of the advisory board, here gives an account of the role of the board within the Würth Group. Würth is a family business that was founded by Adolf Würth in 1945. The Group is a world market-leader in its core business, the trade in assembly and fastening materials. It currently consists of over 400 companies in more than 80 countries and has more than 65,000 employees on its payroll. The Würth Group generated total sales of €9.98 billion in 2012.**
