The Suggested Solutions?
Joseph Dillon Davey
Chapter Chapter 8 in The Shrinking American Middle Class, 2012, pp 115-129 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract President Obama frequently reminds American students that when they finish their education and start looking for a job, they not only will be competing with other Americans for jobs; they will be competing with students from all over the world. Invariably, he encourages them to work hard so as to develop the skills needed by global companies in their workforce. Naturally, as a political leader, he assures the students that they can compete successfully because Americans have always risen to the challenge. How well placed is the President’s confidence?
