Chapter 5 in The Future of Private Equity, 2012, pp 49-61 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Among the many brickbats thrown at private equity is the accusation that it is a monoculture: a profession populated by straight white men from privileged backgrounds, educated at fee-paying schools followed by Ivy League universities or Oxbridge, holding accountancy qualifications or MBAs, who find their way into the industry via investment banking or, occasionally, consulting.
