Abstract: Abstract Innovations are new creations of economic significance, mainly carried out by firms. They can be new products, processes, business models, or marketing-oriented innovations. According to their character, they may be incremental or radical. But how do we manage innovation? Is it possible at all to do so? This chapter will try to shed some light on the management of innovation, clarifying certain terms that are usually used interchangeably in managerial contexts as well as in research environments.
