Abstract: Abstract The past 30 years has seen a fundamental power shift in terms of economic development with organizations from the emerging world catching up to those from the developed world. The 50 companies interviewed for this research have played a profound role in helping shape it. While they originate from 16 different countries, their lessons of success and failure show some interesting patterns and themes.
