Overview of this Book
Bruno Dyck
Chapter 1 in Management and the Gospel, 2013, pp 3-11 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The goals of this book are to describe what management theory and practice looked like in the first century, to use this as a lens to examine what the Gospel of Luke says about management, and then to draw out implications for today. It turns out that management is a dominant theme in the Gospel, that its message is consistently countercultural, and that Luke contains a four-phase process model to help readers implement change. The book presents a new way to understand the Gospel and the moral foundations of modern management.
