Industrial and Organizational Psychology Encounters the World

Walter Reichman

Chapter 1 in Industrial and Organizational Psychology Help the Vulnerable, 2014, pp 1-11 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Industrial and organizational (I-O) psychology has the potential to improve the world. The theories, procedures, practices, and research of I-O psychology can be used, should be used, and, to a limited extent, are being used to heal the wounds of our civilization. These wounds are found in the vulnerable people in our world. They have been underserved by what we believe is an ethical, humanitarian science that has the ability to help the vulnerable.
