Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Community Service Involvement: Students Helping Locally
Kristie Campana
Chapter 14 in Industrial and Organizational Psychology Help the Vulnerable, 2014, pp 243-257 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract As noted by my colleagues Sachau, Courtney, Olson, and Fee (Chapter 13), I-O graduate students gain many useful insights into the field by participating in service learning. As a faculty member at a Midwestern State University who has participated in a number of these international service trips, I too have seen the growth among students within the few weeks they are involved in the service-learning trip.
