Abstract:
Abstract Regulatory changes are possibly the greatest source of change in the asset management industry today. Regulatory-driven legislation is multiplying continuously, with the scope of regulatory changes extending deep into system infrastructures and operational processes. The operational impact is significant: the cumulative projected two-year IT spending for implementing major regulatory initiatives for buy-and sell-side institutions worldwide is estimated to be in the region of $11–15 billion.1
