Commitments: The Essence of Discipline
Arthur Wassenberg
Chapter 8 in Capitalist Discipline, 2013, pp 231-291 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract After having landed at the coordinates of the modalities of games and regimes, what can we say about the checks and balances that explain the transitions among them, that is mutations in regimes as the outcome of changes in games? Though the preceding suggests where to look for the answers, we cannot afford to be conclusive. What defies straight answers is the concurrence of specific movements, the cumulative impact of which has begun to transpire only recently.
