Abstract: Abstract This chapter presents a discussion on the current state of the labour movement in Nigeria. The discussion is juxtaposed against the background of trade union rules and functions reviewed in Chapter 2 of this study and in relation to the political and economic functions identified in Chapters 6, 7 and 8.
