Abstract:
Abstract Social Enterprise in Emerging Market Countries: No Free Ride puts forth a series of recommendations necessary to build the enabling environment that will allow social enterprises to thrive. The task is complex, with close to 30 recommended opportunities for change at both the supply and demand side of the social enterprise economy (see illustration 1.1). However, there are a number of urgent recommendations that should become the Holy Grail of the sector’s development in the next five years if we really are serious about these changes.
