Abstract:
Abstract Not one of the Italian cities can escape the reproach of being guilty of grave wrongdoing against good taste and history: Milan boasts numerous skyscrapers, Naples has erected one right in the middle of the panoramic view over the city, Turin has spoilt one of the finest squares in Italy, that of San Carlo, by scarring it with an ugly tower block. No city surpasses Rome in the indescribable chaos of its recently built districts and its outskirts.
