Moral Economy of Growth

Seok-Choon Lew

Chapter Chapter 8 in The Korean Economic Developmental Path, 2013, pp 173-181 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The introductory chapter 1 explains the missing links in understanding the Korean development. In particular, the embeddedness among cultural, social, and political dimensions is emphasized to suggest that the most fundamental core of Korean development was the articulated match of a strong state and a strong society. At the end of the chapter, book organization and arguments of each chapter are offered.
