Where Do We Stand on Service Coverage for Households?

Chapter Chapter 5 in Infrastructure and Poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa, 2014, pp 63-71 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter focuses on the evidence available on the extent to which the residential demands are being met in Africa. The overview focuses on quantitative cross-country comparisons and hence leaves out a very large volume of anecdotal or country-specific case studies on the evolution of access rates. This is because the emphasis in this book is on data that can be reasonably compared across countries.
