Technical Analysis of the Energy Market
Michael C. Thomsett
Chapter Chapter 12 in Investing in Energy, 2014, pp 211-247 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Technical analysis has many variations. Most traders associate this form of analysis with price movement and trends. However, in addition to price indicators, technical analysis also includes the study of volume and momentum. Energy investors and traders can make good use of all of these tools to improve the timing of entry and exit into stock positions. By timing these decisions based on reversal indicators found on charts, you will be able to spot coming changes early and to take advantage of what the indicators reveal.
