How Energy Trades Are Taxed
Michael C. Thomsett
Chapter Chapter 13 in Investing in Energy, 2014, pp 249-261 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The US income tax law is a complex and often illogical series of rules, regulations, and court case decisions. Few individuals are able to decipher this complexity; most traders thus limit their knowledge to those rules affecting them directly and then rely on a tax accountant or attorney to help with the rest.
