Abstract:
Abstract The process of issuing the ECA cover follows the negotiation of and entering into a commercial or loan contract for which the ECA cover is requested. Providing the ECA cover in individual transactions is divided into three stages—application, making an ECA offer and issuing the ECA policy. Other terms for these stages used by various ECAs are the proposal, preliminary commitment and final commitment. Providing the framework cover, described in Chapter 4, is different from issuing the ECA cover for individual transactions described below.
