Major trends to 2030+

Chapter Chapter 5 in The Trend Management Toolkit, 2014, pp 116-156 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract To observe trends in any setting and then incorporate them into a leadership, R&D, design or innovation strategy, it is crucial to understand how they are interlinked. The difference between having information and being able to turn it into tangible, meaningful knowledge is one of the greatest challenges for anyone working in the medium to long term, thus a knowledge-filtering platform is crucial. This is designed to allow for the best ideas, data, and qualitative insights to rise to the surface, either because they stand out as inspiring or because similar themes recur in a way that indicates their importance to future planning. Once the key influences are selected, you have a viable springboard to assess likely developments, strategies, and innovations.
