Ying Zhang

Chapter 13 in Stock Message Boards, 2014, pp 225-236 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Millions of users are visiting stock message boards every day and contributing thoughts to the global online financial community. Stock message boards have far-reaching impacts on many aspects of the financial market, have become hotspots for many individual investors, provide institutional investors with a new way to gather information, help businesses rethink corporate governance and investor relations, and have captured the attention of researchers who are interested in figuring out whether online talk matters. In the followings are detailed discussions on the implications of stock message boards for each party.
