Conclusion: A Roadmap for the Future—What Do We Know?
Jane Horan
Chapter Chapter 10 in How Asian Women Lead, 2014, pp 137-151 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Leadership is never easy, and today some would say it has never been more difficult. Reviewing the turbulence of the last decade, the future can appear increasingly hazy. The global lament of “Where are the leaders?” combined with more tomes, thought papers, and blogs on leadership can confuse even the most focused. Two significant factors—globalization and technology— have impacted the twenty-first century and redefined our overall perspective and expectations of leadership. To now glean insights of the future means looking around and through these two factors to better understand such complexity and the inevitable contradictions.
