Multicultural Mishaps

Jane Horan

Chapter Chapter 9 in How Asian Women Lead, 2014, pp 121-136 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract A recent post in one of the LinkedIn groups on diversity and Inclusion stated, “Fortunately, we’re all different.” Of course we are; yet, it appears that many organizations continue to seek a staid conformity around a set of leadership models. The Internet is entwined with globalization, increasingly defusing many sharp differences, blending (or “blanding”) cultures, obscuring identities, and sanding over leadership definitions.
