Abstract This chapter provides coverage of the role of stress and scenario testing, a key element in the tool kit of the risk function. In particular, it will – define the various approaches to stress and scenario testing and illustrate how they can be used; − explain how to develop scenarios in a way that enables value to be extracted from the output; – illustrate how stress and scenario testing can be used to identify opportunities.
