Abstract: Abstract Modern distribution systems are characterized by a large variety of forms and links, and the processes of internationalization and globalization encourage this diversification. These processes have contributed to changes in the supply systems of retail chains—the movement of goods from places of production to places of consumption has been considerably shortened and accelerated. Differences in production costs, especially in sectors such as electronics and textiles, have contributed to the emergence of production centers in countries that can offer lower costs, such as Bangladesh, India, and China, whereas consumption takes place in the developed countries of Europe or North America. It is also significant that many products exported from underdeveloped countries are either the crops characteristic of a given climate zone or unique raw materials used in particular for the production of modern electronic devices. As a result, the low costs of labor, farming, or extracting raw materials attract global corporations interested in investments and profits.
