Abstract Fig 19.1 Johannes Witteveen During the 1960s, Johannes Witteveen twice served as the Dutch Minister of Finance. In 1973, he was appointed managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Upon his return from the United States, he operated as a supervisory director for various national and international organizations, amongst others ABN AMRO and Shell.
