Chapter Chapter 1 in The Ambidextrous Organization, 2015, pp 25-44 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In your role as a leader you are expected to understand, challenge, and develop the strategic agenda of your organization. That means, on the one hand you are expected to exploit and on the other hand to explore on behalf of the organization. This chapter aims to provide the conceptual underpinnings for Ambidexterity from an organizational perspective. At the organizational level, a shared understanding of the strategic challenges and opportunities is required to take the appropriate actions. We will look at the theoretical frameworks that we need to understand to discuss ambidexterity in an organizational context.
