A chapter in Innovation in Luxury Fashion Family Business, 2014, pp 1-4 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The family business phenomenon represents the most widespread business model in the world. Consequently, the importance of family businesses cannot be ignored by academics researchers. The luxury fashion business has a great relevance both in the literature and in the economic context, in which the family business model appears so frequently. The book focuses the innovation strategy implemented by family businesses operating in the luxury fashion context, concentrating our research on the companies producing and selling clothing and accessories, and excluding all other luxury product categories.
