The Nurturance Motive

David Forbes

Chapter Chapter 13 in The Science of Why, 2015, pp 185-196 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract My favorite Beatle, John Lennon, is a fitting ambassador for the nurturance motive; through his lyrics, John Lennon was a great champion of the transformative power of love. In the portion of my life’s soundtrack he inhabits, Lennon offers the assurance—and the plea—that “love is all you need.”
