Part II’s Complex Wicked Entrepreneurship—An Evil Context at the Heart of Innovative Activity

Richard J. Arend

Chapter 12 in Wicked Entrepreneurship: Defining the Basics of Entreponerology, 2015, pp 65-94 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This lengthy chapter formally outlines the second new proposed theory of wicked entrepreneurship in the book, adding context to the first new proposed theory methodically outlined in the previous chapters. The conceptualization of Part II is described along standard social science theory-building criteria. The focus is on less cruel and more complex transactional phenomena that entrepreneurs exploit. The activity modeled again (as in Part I) concerns ‘doing the impossible’ according to outside theory, and so again requires fresh, distinctive theorizing. Implications and extensions of the new model are described.
