Chapter Chapter 7 in Bleeding Talent, 2012, pp 163-182 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract DUTY. HONOR. COUNTRY. MEN AND WOMEN who wear the uniform of their country’s military share a set of values that set them apart. What those values are is a matter of deep importance, but we know that they represent more than physical courage and teamwork, which are just means to an end. Rather, it is the devotion to higher ends that inspires, captured by the mantra “Service above self.”
