Introduction
Luigino Bruni ()
A chapter in A Lexicon of Social Well-Being, 2015, pp 1-4 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract “Crisis” is no longer a proper word to describe our times. The reality is that we are living in an extended transitional period and a paradigm shift that started well before 2007, one that is very likely to last for a long time. Therefore we must quickly learn how to live well in the world as it is today, including the realm of work. We need to learn a new vocabulary of economics that is more suitable to understand the present world (not the previous one we knew) and that is likely to offer us the tools to act, and perhaps improve it as well.
