Abstract: Abstract As is well known, the Socialist economies have undergone far-reaching structural changes in the last two decades. The statistical evidence of these changes can be found in the distribution of the working population amongst the different branches of the economy, the contribution of different branches of the economy to national income in different years and the comparative rates of growth of different industries.
