Abstract: Abstract Construction economics is a branch of general economics. It consists of the application of the techniques and expertise of economics to the study of the construction firm, the construction process and the construction industry. To understand the scope of the subject it is necessary firstly to know what economics is about, and secondly to ascertain why the construction industry deserves a special branch of the subject to itself.
