General administration

Chapter 14 in Efficiency Auditing, 1974, pp 182-190 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Administration is concerned with the procedures, methods and systems within an organisation which help to ensure that objectives are established and then appropriately controlled. The term should not be used synonymously with management. Administration is concerned with the management tools which enable the process of ‘measure, plan, control and motivate’ to be carried out as effectively as possible. It follows that administration should be both used and limited accordingly.
