Abstract:
Abstract Agriculture is probably the best example of a sector affected by the problems of ‘growing maturity’. An unfavourable income elasticity of demand for many farm commodities has meant over the years a deterioration in agriculture’s terms of trade as compared with manufacturing industry’s terms of trade.1
