Abstract: Abstract During the years 1873–7, Marshall laboured over the composition of a volume dealing with problems of international trade. The history of the project and its abandonment was briefly discussed in Section I.4 above. Marshall gave further information about it in a letter written to E.R.A. Seligman in April 1900.1
