Chapter 12 in The Emerging European Enterprise, 1976, pp 182-197 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter the statistical data on strategy and structure of the top 100 French industrials are presented and analysed. Our discussion of the changing French enterprise follows much the same framework as used previously for Germany. Thus we started with a general discussion of aspects in the French environment that were expected to influence the management of enterprise, and then, having presented the somewhat dry statistical data here, we will proceed in subsequent chapters to a more descriptive treatment of diversification, the problems of dominant business companies, and the management of diversity in France.
