Report on the United Kingdom (2)
Brian Quinn
Chapter 13 in The ‘New Inflation’ and Monetary Policy, 1976, pp 262-264 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract I must confess that my first reaction on reading Paul Bareau’s paper was, on balance, one of broad disagreement. A second reading revealed more common ground than I first suspected; further reading uncovered additional subtleties — I stopped reading at that point. Otherwise I might have beaten Mr Burger’s record for brevity hands down, and our excellent hosts might have considered the wisdom of inviting two speakers from the UK.
