Abstract: Abstract The Nigerian development path, like that of Ghana, has been quite rough and thorny. We shall therefore discuss it according to the same headings as those used in analysing the Ghanaian path, namely, (1) socio-economic and politico-administrative aspects, (2) social relations, (3) employment, (4) incomes policy, and (5) the impact of government strategies on the overall development.
