Chapter 5 in Europe and Money, 1977, pp 77-86 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract At the beginning of this study the observation was made that different European countries were in the process of re-examining their national economic and monetary philosophy and management. It was also suggested that Europe found itself presented with the golden opportunity of re-examining the basic principles of economic integration. One might go even further and suggest that we are before the most exciting and profound changes in economic thinking and management for at least half a century.
