A Basis for Control
Trevor J. Bentley
Chapter 9 in Making Cost Control Work, 1978, pp 73-80 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In part 1 I spent some time discussing the problems of waste and how it could be reduced by better management control, through understanding the movement of costs and having the ability to measure and control the changes. To do this requires the establishment of a standard of performance and the provision of a feedback of information for control.
