Abstract: Abstract ‘Competition and Credit Control’ made its public appearance in the form of a consultative document issued on 14 May 1971 ‘as a basis of discussion with banks and finance houses’. Further papers followed, and the scheme was introduced in September. The relevant papers are in BEQ June, September and December 1971.
