Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we discuss the detailed aspects of state shareholding for land development and infrastructure purposes. Schemes involving land development and infrastructure provision are similar in that on the whole they involve the state in facilitating certain kinds of development and protecting the local economy against some of the affects of development.
